Refund Policy
Effective August 5, 2026
This policy explains how to request review of a KAizen Chess Lab charge. It does not limit refund or cancellation rights that applicable law gives you.
Cancellation is not a refund
Cancelling stops future automatic renewal. It does not automatically refund a completed subscription charge, and deleting an account does not automatically cancel or refund a subscription.
Web purchases
For a subscription purchased through KAizen's web checkout, email support@kaizenchesslab.com. We review requests individually, including duplicate charges, unauthorized purchases, material technical failures, mistaken trial conversions, and other circumstances required by law. Approval is not guaranteed unless required by applicable law.
Apple App Store and Google Play purchases
If a purchase originated through Apple or Google Play, that store controls the transaction and normally controls the refund decision. Submit the request through the store's refund process. KAizen support can help identify the purchase origin but cannot promise or directly issue a refund controlled by an app store.
Information to include
- The email address used for the KAizen account.
- The purchase origin: web, Apple App Store, or Google Play.
- The approximate charge date and amount.
- The receipt or transaction identifier, if available.
- A short explanation of the issue.
Do not send your password, authentication token, or full payment-card number.
Effect of an approved refund
An approved refund, reversal, or chargeback may end the related paid entitlement. Processing time and the date funds appear depend on the payment provider and financial institution.
Response process
We will acknowledge a complete web-purchase request, verify the account and transaction, determine the purchase origin, and provide the decision or correct provider route. Fraud, legal holds, chargebacks, and incomplete identity or transaction information may require additional review.
